During that week, you will be monitored closely by medical professionals to ensure that you are staying safe during this process. Your medical professionals may discuss medication options that can help provide relief for some of the discomforts you will feel.

Kentucky inpatient treatment programs can vary in length from 30 days to 90 days. The length of treatment programs is dependent on the person’s treatment needs. Inpatient treatment programs often use group sessions, individual sessions, educational sessions, recreational activities, and medical assessments. 

One of the factors that can make an impact on your inpatient treatment program is whether you would benefit from specialized treatment options. This can include mental health treatment for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. 

Outpatient treatment is often recommended for individuals who have recently left an inpatient program and those with what is considered “mild” substance use disorders. Outpatient treatment programs utilize both group and individual sessions. You will find that there is a large relapse prevention component to outpatient treatment when you first start to help you adjust to recovery at home. Many outpatient treatment facilities have a medical professional on staff who can assist with medications that may be necessary for your mental health or addiction treatment.

Detox programs typically refrain from having you engage in too much therapy because you may not be able to fully engage with your withdrawal symptoms. Common withdrawal symptoms can include muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, sleep changes, and irritability.  

Our Humana alcohol rehab program can last 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days. The length that is recommended for you will be dependent on your history of abuse and other mental health concerns that you may have. We offer Family Therapy for your loved ones as well. This program will focus on your family unit, compared to addiction treatment which focuses on the individual living with an addiction. We take time to make sure that your loved ones have a working knowledge of addiction and what a healthy recovery entails. Family members oftentimes benefit from this program because they can relate to other families who have had similar experiences. The overall goal is to help everyone in the family have an understanding of how you can move forward in a way that is healthy for each of you.
